Real Time Operations Support Specialist.
Location: North America (Houston based)
Visean provides real-time information services to the oil and gas drilling industry. We believe in, practice and are totally focused on providing excellence in customer service. Due to continuing growth, we are now seeking an additional Operations Support Specialist for the Americas region to be based in Houston, Texas.
The work includes monitoring of all ongoing operations, resolving real-time data issues, and providing phone and email support to end-users. Responsibilities require support to all domestic and international operations during the shift. Strong customer service values, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are required. The successful candidate can expect to work a rotation schedule that will include days on weekends; your work week is scheduled to average 40 hours per week.
The role would suit a recent graduate with less than 1-2 yrs work experience in mud logging or MWD/LWD field operations who is looking to move into a new role in the industry. The successful candidate may also have worked in a technical support or IT role in the oil and gas industries.

Senior IT Systems Engineer
Location: Australia (North Ryde based)
Visean Information Services (A Weatherford Company) provides highly reliable real-time drilling information and documentation management services to some of the largest Oil Companies in the world.
The role will join an already established IT team in managing a complex, mission critical data center system. Primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing process for high availability systems, building and deploying networking and server solutions, providing IT knowledge to other business divisions and working closely with the development team to deploy software upgrades to client systems. You will also be required to identify issues and propose appropriate solutions, and participate in on-call roster for the support of 24*7 mission critical data centers.
Required Skills and Experience
• 3rd level support across server hardware/software and networking
• Support and maintenance of Windows 2003/AD
• Implementation of Server/Applications – 2003, Exchange, SQL , IIS
• Experience with Networking – LAN/WAN/Switches/Routers/Firewalls/VPN
Desirable skills and experience:
• Clustering, Load Balancing, BC/DR/HA
• Watchguard/Cisco Firewalls, routers, switches
• Any experience with in house applications/working with Dev Teams
• Any datacenter implementation experience
